I received a diaper in order for this review. All opinions are my own and may differ from yours.
I am excited to have partnered up with WAHM Christin, the mom behind Dan & Leah Diapers. Want to thank her for offering an awesome fluffy diaper prize for the FluffyXmas giveaway! I was so glad when I got the chance to review this diaper. So excited to be the first to let you all know about the new S Diaper! Yes, so let me introduce you to the S Diaper by Dan & Leah!
So for my review I received this surprise diaper. It has cute butterflies all around and it has a pink micro-fleece inner. Totally adorable! Look at the colorful snaps to go with such a colorful diaper! Oh and the two snaps in front are little heart snaps, and you know I'm a sucker for cute colorful snaps!
The S stands for Simple, this diaper is very easy and simple. When I first received the S Diaper I thought it looked like it wouldn't hold up. But, I was wrong! It certainly did it's job. When you see it, it appears to be thin and a simple pocket diaper. You'd be surprised that it can be used in other ways. That is what I liked about this diaper! The S Diaper features both snaps and Velcro so even dads will approve of this diaper. I know hubby hesitates to put on diapers with snaps but he certainly liked this one. He said " Now these are easy for me to put on my munchkin!" So there you have it, these make for some easy changing.
More about the S Diaper, like I said it is not only a pocket diaper but, it can be used as an AI2 and as a cover. When used as a cover you don't have to worry about the PUL touching your baby's skin because the inside is micro-fleece. It is thin enough to use as a cover just use a prefold of choice. The S Diaper comes with an insert made up of bamboo, hemp, and cotton. It also has a snap so you can snap it onto the inside of the diaper - this is how you can use it as an AI2.
The diaper I received is made out of PUL but if you are not a fan there are also hybrids available. I would definitely love to try a hybrid style to see how they compare! The S Diaper is also available in three different sizes NB 5-15 lbs, size 1 15-35lbs, and size 2 29-40 lbs.
Oh! another thing this diaper features is a pocket to put in an insert but, the opening is not on the back of the diaper but on the side! Check out the pictures, I totally love that idea! I thought it was a great idea, I sometimes don't like how the inserts bunch up on the back or stick out. With the S Diapers the opening on the side the insert just slides right in, no bunching. What do you think of that? This diaper also can be adjust to better fit your little one. Yep, it has button hole elastic so they can adjust to get the perfect fit to your little ones.
My final thoughts on the S Diaper...
As always we prep our diapers for testing. First thing I really like to do is test overnight, yes I really do to get a feel for it. So, we used it overnight with the insert that came along with it. I am impressed that the S Diaper held up really well overnight! For us we went 12 hours and there were no leaks at all. This was after first wash too. I'd say my little one can be a heavy wetter. It also varies with how much they drink throughout the day or close to bedtime. I did run it through the wash again and tried another overnight-er. Same results - I'm happy to say, no leaks. Just a bit went through but it's expected after a 13 hour all nighter!
After adjusting the elastic for fit my little I always got a great fit. It is very easy to adjust. Just turn it inside out and pull or relax the elastic to get the size you need. Very easy to do too. See it is still simple. Since this diaper is thin and trim there is no bulk! They really do fit nicely and go on easily. I think lots of moms will love that about the S Diaper!
The insert that comes with this diaper definitely loving it! It does hold a lot! I didn't have any problems with compression leaks whatsoever. Awesome inserts, very thirsty and 1 held up through the night! I think I will need more of these! A little bit about my model - 22 lbs - skinny - semi chunky thighs - can be a heavy wetter - and totally adorable! :) I'll add more pics - it's in the wash.
So there you have it guys, and if you were wondering about this diaper you know can read what I think and go from there. I know you all must ask does it hold up, I really think it did! It is simple but reliable.
Do you want a chance at winning this diaper? How about with some other goodies??? Well then you can still enter to win this fluffy diaper package! Christin has offered a S Diaper in boy or girl print, a wetbag,
