You bet it is! When we received the Perplexus Original we were all immediately hooked! My lil' one was so sure it was a toy "It's fo me?" "Open it Mom! Open it." My lil' sisters were like "Yes! Open it let's see what it is." They were pretty pumped.
When you first see it, you think Ooouh, shiny new toy! You wanna get it rolling right away. Literally, and you get hooked instantly.
Perplexus is a transparent sphere and it has a built in numbered maze, you have to get the small marble rolling around in the inside of the transparent sphere. It's like a puzzle where you guide the marble through the loops, twists, & turns. Feels like a 3D puzzle because you are seeing where the marble is rolling.
It looks easy, but you will spend most of your time trying to succefully complete the puzzle! I admit even I couldn't put it down. You can easily fall off the path, then you have to start over. Doh! Do you think you can succesfully complete the challenge? Perplexus Original has 100 challenges. You really have to think with this one!
That is why I like this for the kids! They actually sit there quietly thinking hard where the marble should travel to next. It really makes them think. It exercises their brain! It made me chuckle when they were trying to find where the ball fell off. They just say "Oh man! Ah! I lost" and they start again. Perplexus is reccomended for ages 6 & up but anyone can get into it. So fun.
You learn more about Perplexus over here It's also tells you where you can buy one. I gotta let you know though, You can't just get ONE! It's hard to hand it over. Perplexus comes in 2 other different challenges
-Perplexus Rookie 70 challenges Ages 4 & up
-Perplexus Epic 125 challenges Ages 8 &u up
So what are you waiting for? Go get one!
